Looking for some good inspirational reading? Look no further, I’ve got you covered. Reading self help/positive/inspirational books is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time, and I feel that it really has a positive impact on my day. It’s a great way to start my morning off on the right foot, to wake up and have a cup of coffee with some good reading material in hand. Even taking 30 minutes out of your day to read something inspirational will help give you that boost you may be looking for. Here’s a list of some of my current favorites and some wish list books for spring.
1. Miracles Now: 108 Life-Changing Tools for Less Stress, More Flow, and Finding Your True Purpose by Gabrielle Bernstein
If you’re looking to live a less stressful and more positive life, this book is for you. Gabrielle guides you through purposeful meditations and yoga practices to help create positivity and to find your true purpose. This book has helped me create a better inner peace with myself and others and has made me focus more on what really matters in life. This book will help you find connection to your inner strength and peace.
2. The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin
This book is a good read for those looking to focus more on what really matters in life. Time goes by so quickly and Gretchen realizes it’s really about picking your battles, living it up everyday and doing what makes you truly happy. Spend your money on what matters to you, your time with people who are the most important in your life and create your very own happiness project. Take these small but powerful steps in her book to help guide you to a more fulfilling life.
3. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
A magical story about a Shepard Boy named Santiago who is on a beautiful journey to find a hidden treasure in the pyramids of Egypt. What Santiago finds on his journey is powerful and important, maybe instead of gold treasure, Santiago will find the treasure within himself. This book is full of wisdom, happiness and positivity from start to finish.
This is my favorite recent read in this category. If you need some inspiration to live a better life, career, etc…then this is an awesome read for you. This book helps push you out of your comfort zone and into a new one where you can start to feel more confident and badass. Jen Sincero is honest and refreshing in this inspiring book about how to live your best life.
5. Minimalism: Live A Meaningful Life by Joshua Fields Millburn
I cannot express enough how life changing this book is. This book focuses on how to live a more meaningful life without materialistic things. The authors discuss how money and objects do not bring happiness even though most of our society seems to think so. Living smaller, less cluttered lives can bring a tremendous amount of joy to our daily routines. Sometimes we just need to slow down and enjoy the little things in life and appreciate more then materialistic belongings. When I made my move from Ohio to Colorado, this book really inspired me to clean out all of the unnecessary junk and let go of material things that were not bringing me joy and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
